Oakhurst supports many community programs as a congregation, such as Senior Moves that is shown in the following graphic.

In addition to the programs that the church supports, individual members are involved in numerous service groups in the metro area, such as AIDS/HIV, autism, domestic violence, and peace and justice organizations. The following programs are supported by Oakhurst Presbyterian:
- The Clothes Closet is open on Monday and Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. to noon. It serves families from Decatur and the surrounding area. Clothes of all sizes are needed for all ages during the year, especially warm coats and clothes in the winter.
- Jump Ahead offers tutoring and help with homework each Tuesday during the school year. Dinner is served at 5:30 p.m. and tutoring from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00p.m. This program is seventeen years old and serves students in the Decatur schools. There is a computer lab for students and volunteers are needed for students in all subjects.
- For the Earth Day Celebration, the church works with Decatur Recreation and other community groups to celebrate with activities and information about our earth. The next celebration is April 19, 2008.
- Decatur Emergency Assistance Ministry (DEAM) is a food and emergency fund service provided by churches in the Decatur area. DEAM is located at Holy Trinity Episcopal Church, 515 Ponce de Leon Ave, Decatur. Oakhurst Presbyterian collects food and funds in February and July of each year.
- Decatur Cooperative Ministry (DCM) is an agency that provides the Hagar’s House shelter for women and families that are homeless, transitional housing, and many other assistance programs. DCM is a cooperative of churches in the Decatur area. Additional information is found at decaturcooperativeministries.org
- Presbyterian Answer to Hunger (PATH) is sponsored by the Presbytery of Greater Atlanta. Additional information is found by e-mailing: mailto:answertohuger@bellsouth.net
- Phoenix School is the day care center that is housed in the church. More information is found at thephoenixschool.com
- Boy Scout Troop 107 is the oldest chartered trop in the Atlanta area. It meets on Wednesdays at 7:00 p.m. during the school year.
- Senior Social and Senior Moves offers activities for senior members and residents in the Oakhurst community. Senior Social meets on the second and fourth Mondays each month. Senior Moves, which is free, meets each Monday at 9:30 a.m.
- Family Support Center, INC is the 501.c.3 non-profit organization that allows the church to write and receive grants from local, state, and national levels for ministries sponsored for families in the Oakhurst area and beyond.
