Congregational Programs

Check the church calendar for current information about the following congregational programs:

  • Christian Education programs are available for children and adults. Sunday classes for all ages are at 10:00 each Sunday, except when the church is on the summer schedule.
  • Youth Groups are available for middle and senior high youth.
  • Two choirs sing during worship services. The Sanctuary Mass Choir practices each Tuesday at 7:30 p.m., and the Chancel Choir practices each Wednesday at 7:00 p.m.
  • The Children’s Choir practices each Sunday morning at 9:15 a.m. for children ages 5-10 years old.
  • Nibs leads the Monday Night Bible Study for adults, which meets at 7:00 p.m. on most Mondays throughout the year.
  • The Tuesday Prayer Group meets each Tuesday morning at 10:00 a.m. They pray for the joys and concerns lifted up on Sunday morning. They also enjoy light refreshments and fellowship.
  • Presbyterian Women (PW) of Oakhurst meet at 11:00 a.m. on the second Tuesday each month. They use the PW Bible study provided by the PCUSA.
  • Women of the Night (WON) meets on the third Wednesday of each month for study and fellowship. All women from the church are invited.
  • Young Adults who are 18 to 35 enjoy activities and fellowship. Activities are e-mailed to those who are interested.
  • Softball Team OakForce is a co-ed softball team that plays during the summer. Coordinated people  slightly preferred. Lots of fun!
  • A-Men (Men's Group) for adult men meets for social and service programs throughout the year (but not during the Super Bowl, the World Series, or the NBA finals.
  • Racism Workshops include church-wide programs and in-home small group discussions.
  • One People Committee works for the acceptance of all people in church and society. They meet the first Friday of each month at 6:30. 
  • The Supper Club usually meets monthly to read and discuss books, attend plays or movies, and visit attractions in the Atlanta area. See the church calendar for the time, location, and topic.
